Whitehall Pumping Station

INCOMPLETE DRAFT, Revision 1

Introduction

This station drains the northern part of Burnt Fen into the River Great Ouse (or Ten Mile River) replacing the Brandon one which had drained the same area into the Little Ouse for nearly 200 years until land levels changed making the Brandon site higher than the land it had drained. A new drain just over a mile long was cut to the new station to connect the area drains to it. by Eddy Edwards Photo: Eddy Edwards,
